Assuming you usually do not serve your bottle of wine at its ideal drinking temperature you are denying yourself the maximum aroma the wine has to offer, probably throwing away hundreds of dollar bills invested in expensive wines over the course of 12 months. Once you have assembled your VINOMIO make sure you have removed the cork. Now carefully insert VINOMIO all the way into the neck of the bottle and gently press down until the rubber seal fits snuggly into the neck of the bottle. As of this moment VINOMIO is keeping your white wine at the perfect temperature for up to an hour. If you are cooling down a room temperature red, then you will have to remove the chiller after 10 – 20 minutes depending on the type of red wine.
Pouring wine through your VINOMIO is a pure pleasure! As you pour you can see the aerator going to work, a pleasant side-effect of this aeration process being that the wine flows through the chiller at a relatively slow speed, so you don’t run the risk of over-filling the glass or of pouring too fast, risking spilling wine on the table or, worse, on your guests!
You can either aerate or decant a wine. Aeration is the faster option of the two and often the better. Aerating young wines will usually help to soften the tannins, mkaing it much smoother. Whereas with older vintage reds you can unleash aromas and complexities that will take hours with a decanter to achieve.
VINOMIO has the aerator integrated! And you can really see how it works: The wine is fed through the aerator thus exposing the wine to oxygen and expanding its surface area in order to unleash the full flavor!
Your VINOMIO wine chiller can be used on all kinds of wine: white, red AND sparkling. If you are having white wine, please chill the bottle in the fridge before using VINOMIO – your wine will be kept cold for up to an hour. When you have a too warm room temperature red wine that needs cooling off, insert the cold VINOMIO and remove after 10 – 20 minutes, depending on the type of red wine you are serving.
By the way: some people even use it to keep other kinds of drinks, like OJ, chilled.
Caring for your VINOMIO is very easy. Either simply rinse the chiller with warm water or dip it into soapy water for a second if you want. Afterwards please take care to dry VINOMIO with a soft cloth to make sure that no water stains form on the stainless steel. NEVER put your VINOMIO into the dishwasher.
While VINOMIO only needs about an hour in the freezer in order to reach its full cooling power, most people prefer to keep VINOMIO in the freezer permanently, ready to use at any time. To store, unscrew the stainless steel rod from the aerator and place the rod in your freezer. Meanwhile, keep the aerator safe and sound in a kitchen drawer when not in use.
